FTX New Year Challenge – Welcome to the final week of our challenge. You can still get in on the fun! If you haven’t done any of the challenges yet, then see the attached entry sheet and get going. What are you waiting for? All it takes is one ticket to have the chance to win!

CrossFit Open – It starts on Thursday, February 24th and goes for 3 weeks.
We will be doing the WODs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each of the 3 weeks. On the 3 Sundays of the CrossFit Open we will be open from 2:30pm – 3:30pm to judge the Open WODs. If you are not doing the CrossFit Open, you can still come on Sunday and do Open Box. On Saturdays we will have an alternate WOD available in addition to the Open WOD of the week.
Register here for the CrossFit Open. You do not have to register for the Open to simply do the WODs at FTX. You do need to register for the CrossFit Open if you want to be judged. Please avoid doing the Open WODs on Mondays unless you really couldn’t do them Friday through Sunday, and then please avoid the busy classes. The CrossFit Open is a great time of camaraderie, challenging yourself, being a part of the worldwide CrossFit community and so much more. Join in on this amazing annual event that anyone can do.

Overview of our programming this week

This week we continue with some of the supersets on 3 of the days, but we’re varying it by having you do them after the WODs. We hope you’re enjoying these more non-traditional lifts. Part of continued hypertrophy is constantly challenging the muscles in new and varied ways. Here is our strength/skillwork lineup for the week.

Monday – Bulgarian Split Squats + Core work
Wednesday
– Lunges or Pistols + Piston Presses
Thursday – Bent-over Rows + Hammer Curls
Friday – Back Squats

We start Monday off with a shorter workout with 3 movements – T2B, Burpee pull-ups and Ft. Squats. Tuesday is a class-wide WOD consisting of a variety of movements. Wednesday is a medium-heavy couplet WOD with cleans and pull-ups. Thursday is a medium-heavy workout consisting of deadlifts and thrusters mixed in with rowing and burpees. Friday’s WOD alternates between Push-jerks and lunges with K2E in between. Saturday is a fun and challenging team WOD involving movements that all involve medicine balls.

FTX Yoga – Unfortunately due to a lack of demand, we need to cancel Yoga as of 2/1/22. This week on Tuesday 2/25 we will have an SMR/Yoga/Flexibility class from 7:30pm – 8:30pm led by coach Carol.

FTX Kids’ Classes – We have classes for 8-13 year-olds Tuesday through Friday at 4:30pm.
