FTX New Year Challenge – We’re half-way through our challenge. Get in on the fun! If you haven’t done any of the challenges yet, then see the attached entry sheet and get going. What are you waiting for? All it takes is one ticket to have the chance to win!

CrossFit Open – It starts on Thursday, February 24th and goes for 3 weeks.
We will be doing the WODs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each of the 3 weeks. On the 3 Sundays of the CrossFit Open we will be open from 2:30pm – 3:30pm to judge the Open WODs. If you are not doing the CrossFit Open, you can still come on Sunday and do Open Box. On Saturdays we will have an alternate WOD available in addition to the Open WOD of the week.
Register here for the CrossFit Open. You do not have to register for the Open to simply do the WODs at FTX. You do need to register for the CrossFit Open if you want to be judged. Please avoid doing the Open WODs on Mondays unless you really couldn’t do them Friday through Sunday, and then please avoid the busy classes. The CrossFit Open is a great time of camaraderie, challenging yourself, being a part of the worldwide CrossFit community and so much more. Join in on this amazing annual event that anyone can do.

Overview of our programming this week

This week we continue with some of the supersets on 3 of the days. Here is our strength/skillwork lineup for the week.

Monday – Bench + OH Tricep Extensions
Tuesday
– OH Squats + S2O
Wednesday – Pull-ups
Thursday – Single-leg KB Deadlift + Rope Climbs
Friday – Skierg Speed workout

We start this week off with a 10-minute triplet AMRAP of wall balls, box jumps and jump rope. We follow that up with a slight longer 15-minute triplet AMRAP of bike, lunges and bear crawl. We then go to a FGB format of high-rep lighter movements. Thursday is a longer for time KB WOD with snatches, goblet squats and Russian twists. Friday is a 15-minute partner WOD with DB thrusters, DB C&J and burpees. We finish off the week with a longer WOD called “Milk Punch” consisting of HSPUs, rowing, burpees and farmer carries.

FTX Kids’ Classes – We have classes for 8-13 year-olds Tuesday through Friday at 4:30pm.
