FTX 12 Days of Christmas Toy Drive
We begin our holiday celebrations on the 1^st with one of our 12 Days of Christmas WODs and end it on the 11^th (12^th is a Sunday) with our other 12 Days of Christmas WOD. This year we are again partnering with the Evangelical Child & Family Agency here in Wheaton to deliver toys to kids in the area. We will have kids’ Christmas wishes on our Christmas tree. We encourage you to grab one and bring some much-needed Christmas cheer to a child.

Christmas Party
We will also have our Christmas Party on that Saturday the 11^th at 6pm
It’ll be catered by Portillo’s. We will do our annual White Elephant games for the adults and the kids (12 and under).

Black Friday Specials
Our sale ends on Tuesday, November 30^th at 11pm (unless otherwise specified for a specific item). The specials have been sent out in our annual Black Friday Specials’ email and our weekly newsletters.

FTX Holiday Teen Classes
We are working on be offering a special kids’ session for our early teen age group (ages 13-15) over the Christmas break. There wasn’t enough demand to do it for the week of Thanksgiving. So, if you want to participate in this over the Christmas break, please get in touch with Coach Carol. The idea is for this session to consist of 5 one-hour classes which will cover our Essentials curriculum. Teens will review the 9 foundational movements and more, including gymnastics movements and Olympic lifts, in preparation to joining the adult CrossFit classes. These classes will be held outside of our regular kids’ classes and will be geared specifically to this age group. Regular kids’ class punches will be applied to the program, which means this is a great deal relative to our regular Essentials Program! Please let us know if you are interested in the program by December 1^st so we can finalize times and dates. We need to hear from you if you are interested to be able to make this happen.

Overview of our programming this week
Our strength and skill-work will focus on squats/legs and shoulders this week.
Monday = Paused Front Squats / Tuesday = Strict & Push Press / Thursday = Overhead Squats / Friday = Handstand Push-ups
We start the week off with two challenging couplets on Monday (Cleans & Burpee Pull-ups) and Tuesday (Rope Climbs & DB Snatches. Wednesday is … if you read above, then you already know… FTX 12 Days of Christmas! Thursday will be a fun class-wide WOD. Friday will be a calorie burner involving the machine of your choice, and Saturday is the 20:00 AMRAP Hero WOD “TK”.

FTX Kids’ Classes – We have classes for 8-13 year-olds Tuesday through Friday at 4:30pm.

#FTXHomeWODs – We have plenty of gear for those of you that want to do some of these workouts at home, whether that is because of childcare situations, health reasons, schedule conflicts, or whatever. We can loan out all sorts of equipment, including rowers and barbells. We can also do personal training sessions with you in your driveway/yard/garage or via Zoom. If this is your situation, then please reach out to us so we can get you all setup!

FTX Rates
As of 1/1/2022 we will increase our rates for all existing recurring members. For new members or purchases of session packs (kids or adults), the new prices are effective immediately. Our new monthly membership rate will be $175. All existing members will keep their current discount %s for which they qualify. See our full list of rates here.
We did not want to raise our rates, but the economic factors of increased equipment/supply costs, taxes and labor costs have forced us to make a modest increase. All our existing members’ pre-paid final month will be treated as if they’d paid $175 vs. any other amount as a way of giving some recognition for your loyalty.
