Overview of our programming this week

It’s back to school time. This means schedule changes for many families, and the corresponding annual transition from summer mode to school mode. FTX has an extensive class schedule from 5:30am – 8:30pm weekdays (7:30pm on Fridays) so that you always have plenty of options for getting in your workout. And, we say “good-bye” to our college students. See you during your breaks. We pray for all to have a great school year, to learn a lot, foster great relationships, and grow as individuals.

Our strength program will be doing the 5-3-1+ rep scheme this week. If you haven’t been lifting regularly with us, then we recommend warming up and doing 3-4 sets of 5 reps each going a little heavier each set until you get to a challenging set of 5. During our 4 strength days you will see shorter workouts with medium weight and fewer movements. On the other 2 days, one will be a longer workout by throwing a combo of shorter WODs at you while the other one will be a Hero WOD. You’ll get a good mix of exercises.

FTX Kids’ Classes – We have classes for 8-13 year-olds Tuesday through Friday at 4:30pm.

#FTXHomeWODs – We have plenty of gear for those of you that want to do some of these workouts at home, whether that is because of childcare situations, health reasons, schedule conflicts, or whatever. We can loan out all sorts of equipment, including rowers and barbells. We can also do personal training sessions with you in your driveway/yard/garage or via Zoom. If this is your situation, then please reach out to us so we can get you all setup!
