WOD Summary

We are starting a new 5-3-1 Strength cycle this week. You will notice that on each of the strength days during the first half of the week we have also programmed an accompanying secondary lift. During this cycle we really want to push some strength gains in time for this year’s CrossFit Open, which starts at the end of February. The WODs during the first half of the week are meant to go hard and fast and involve a chipper, a for time couplet and an AMRAP. Thursday can be done with lower intensity for a great active recovery day or with greater intensity for a great cardio day. On Friday’s menu you have a choice between a strength or cardio focus. Saturday is a classic CrossFit Benchmark with a focus on bodyweight movements – Barbara!

It is our hope you enjoy this week’s programming of functional movements that are constantly varied and meant to be done at high intensity. Keep in mind that quality of movement and range of motion come before going heavier and faster. Train smart!
